HIGH SOCIETY

Last night, my assistant and I were invited for the launch of CW 11's "High Society" in New York City. It was not the only launch party of the network. "Fly Girls" and "America's Next Top Model" were part of the festivities.

My client looked dashing in a black dominatrix outfit. Her vixen look is part of her evolution as a woman. There were so much champagne that night. I had a couple of glasses.

After that, we bid our goodbyes to everyone. I was starving. I made a decision to end the night at Pastis.

PACMAN

Last Sunday, I had dinner with my good friends. We went to Apiary. The food was divine. I told Noel to drop me off on 57th street and Madison Avenue. I was walking back to my apartment till I saw a huge billboard of Manny Paquiao at Niketown.

He is one of the best boxing champions in the world. I am very proud of him to be my country's ambassador for the international arena.

JEALOUSY FACTOR!!!

I would like to congratulate my dear friend Rajo Laurel for gracing the cover of Women's Wear Daily a couple of weeks ago. He is one of the few Filipinos who brought prestige to my country.

With this cover, controversy is not far away from Rajo. He has been accused of copying for the longest time. To be honest with you guys, referencing other designers started during the time of Paul Poiret.

This recent Fall 2010 collection, everybody has been referencing the designs of Rick Owens.
Rajo deserves everything. I am very proud of him. All of his detractors cannot accept that he had the courage to explore the global fashion industry.

I am always right behind you. I knew you and your family for the longest time. Let them talk.
Good and Bad publicity is always STELLAR.

BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM!!!

I treated my two assistants for a late lunch at Fred's of Barneys. We had a nice meal. They deserve a good break after working so hard.

I told Kendra, "Is that Victoria Beckham?" I called the manager who is a friend of mine. He told me that she is Mrs. Beckham.

I knew it. I can spot her brown crocodile Birkin bag and Mongolian fur coat from Giambattista Valli.

Sad to say, they told me she has bad acne problem. Well! You cannot have everything. At the end of the day, she is still Victoria Beckham... POSH SPICE.

ORIGINALITY PLEASE!!!

So far, fashion week is driven by the vixen look. There is still touches of the 80s. What I do not get? Designers love to use references. They adore the works of the following designers: Rick Owens, Helmut Lang, Balenciaga, and a touch of Gucci.

Come on America. Where is our originality?

Another thing I am so annoyed... fit. You can clearly see on the runway if the garment is badly done.

I have seen it in two shows today... I almost collapsed.

Well! Better luck next time. I must say, they should stick to the presentation.

TOM FORD'S LAST BOW AT GUCCI

AT THE LOUNGE

Last night, I bumped into my friend/client T.M. at the W lounge. She was hosting an event for a famous bag line. She was wearing this amazing Carlos Campos shirt dress that I pulled for her.

Next thing you know, she told me that she is going to the Oscars. I am so happy for her. I know she will do good when her show airs.

CAT LADY!!!

Let's do a guessing game. Can you tell me who this image belongs to? 20 years from now? I think she is grooming herself to be one. It ain't any Lalique crystal... get the picture.

CANNOT SAVE MCQUEEN

I am so sad because one of my favorite designers in the world committed suicide. Alexander McQueen was the protege of the late Isabella Blow. The mentor and the apprentice both committed suicide.

He is one of the best designers in the industry. He is a very innovative man. All of the sci-fi imaginations of McQueen were brought to life on his runway shows.

He was found dead in his apartment on Green Street, Central London. When the authorities came in, they saw his body hanging. One source said that the cause of his suicide was his mother's death.

There will be so many speculations out there. Wherever he is right now, I know he did a mark in fashion.

My condolences to his family, friends, and his whole staff.

FASHION BLIZZARD

Yikes! It was a disaster yesterday. A couple of designers had their presentations to kick off fashion week. Some pushed through and some had to cancel. Talk about budget catastrophe.

For me, it was the most difficult day to do errands. Thank God! My first appointment was at the St. Regis Hotel to see the collection of Norman Ambrose (Story coming up). Amazing!!!

My 2nd assistant Joanna had to cancel on me because of the weather. I completely understand. Since my cleaning lady was cleaning my apartment, I asked her to accompany me to pull some shoes from a prestigious boutique on 5th Avenue. The store was about to close, but I made it in a New York minute.

Wow! At least, I had time to catch up with all of my work.

It's tough to earn money these days.

Stay tuned!

HUNG UP!!!

I am really tired and I could not think of fashion week. I have been styling and consulting for various clients. I never had a chance to sit down and relax.

Today, it feels like it is going to be a long day. I have to do so many last minute errands before my fitting tonight. I wish my Brit is here to help me with all of my fashionable causes.

I try to sleep early and not drink. Hahahahahaha.

SWIRLS OF A MINAUDIERE

World renowned designer Tina Maristela Ocampo started the trend of carrying a small bag for evening known as the minaudiere. Thus, Celestina was born and gained global domination. Her line can be seen at Barneys and other exclusive boutiques.

I own three Celestina clutches: Nena Saguil in Croc, Felipa in Leopard, and the PJ Clutch. Yes, Tina named a clutch after my good friend PJ Pascual.

The most interesting about this clutch is the pattern. Swirls of color cover this amazing shagreen clutch. I am very proud to own one of my dear friend's clutch.

PREVIEW

Yesterday was a success. My jewelry client and I went to all the top tiered magazines for a desk side appointment. Everyone was blown away with her impeccable designs.

What the editors love about her and her jewelry? She tells a story about her creations. I am so proud of her. Her pieces are one of a kind. She considers her collection as works of art. She is very talented and has an oozing personality.

I can't tell her name yet, but I can show you some of her designs.
Have fun.

REEDER'S PROPHECY XXVI- SPERRY'S

This past weekend, Michael and I watched the movie of Meryl Streep... It's complicated. To complicate things, Mystery man left me a message. He said that he is in town for the weekend.
I was excited and at the same time scared... whatever?

I went to his apartment in Tribeca. He told me that he will send his driver to pick me up at the movie theater. I told him that I am going to take the Metro instead. Duh! It was so cold... frost bite.

When I got to his place, he ran towards me and embraced me. I felt that I was going to die... no oxygen. He started kissing my forehead. I thought he saw the geisha in me. Hahahaha.

I told him that I am still healing from a freak accident in Malaysia. He removed my shoes and gave me a foot massage. Thank God that I just had a manicure and a pedicure a couple of days ago... what a relief?

Well! He gave me shoes... AGAIN! This time, I received two pairs of Sperry's topsiders. I jokingly said, "Boy, this is a down grade from Dries Van Noten and Pierre Hardy."

Duh! I was joking. I love topsiders aka boat shoes for the preppies. It is so Americana.

It was so sweet of him. I felt like a supernova star ready to explode.

LOVE THIS.
NOT THE GREEN... IN RUST.

THE TAURUS BAG

Last night, I got a call from Jamie. She is the head bag designer for a famous jewelry and bag company, KR. Her boss is a very good friend of mine. She told me that she could not find my name in Latin. How weird? She promised me that she will name a bag after me.

Well! She fulfilled her promise. She named the bag after my zodiac sign Taurus. Fair enough. I did not know that Jamie is also a fellow Taurean. Yay! We get along so well. The bag is our love child.

The taurus bag will debut this Fall 2010 fashion week. It is so slithering.
