IDENTITY AT BALMAIN!!!

If you like the look that you haven't taken a shower for days, Balmain's Spring 2011 answers the question. I think Christophe Decarnin has a vision for the house. His design aesthetics for BALMAIN is ROCK and ROLL chic.
Ladies who can afford Balmain do not minding spending $3,000.00 on ripped jeans.
I know Balmain established a hip identity. Can Christophe shift change gears for the house? Let's wait and see.

STRIPE IT UP!!!

Prada's collection for Spring 2011 was colorful, fun, and fashion forward. Miuccia knows how to please her fans. The accessories worked well with the clothes. There were stripes everywhere on the runway. Her accessories can be perfect for the beach or strolling around the city of New York.

Orange, mediterranean blue, bright green, and shocking pink were some of the colors she used for shoes, bags, hats, fur stoles, and clutches.

What I like about Prada? She knows how to push the right fashion buttons. No wonder she is considered as one of the most influential designers of our times.

It's time to STRIPE IT UP!!!

VERSACE'S HOME RUN!!!

I have been a huge fan of Versace since I was 12 years old. I remember my mother giving me the dagger look cause she could not believe that my taste is so expensive. For Spring 2011, Donatella Versace nailed a strong collection for Versace. This is the first time I have seen the house lower the hemlines. A mixture of feminine and sexy looks strutted down the runway. The last section of the show was an interpretation of chic tribal. The series won't be complete without color blocking print dresses.

Orange, white, yellow, turquoise, beige, black and white were the dominant colors on the runway. The shoes... TO DIE for. Her vision for the house of Versace is more stable than ever. If Gianni were alive, I know he would proud of his baby sister's efforts.

Donatella made a HOME RUN this season.

THE GUCCI TRIBE!!!

The first look of the Gucci Spring 2011 reminded me of Yves Saint Laurent. The color combination was mastered by the master himself. As I looked at the entire collection of Gucci, I said to myself, "Frida is going tribal". Well! It is a modern interpretation what her woman will wear when she tours the land of Africa and Marakech decked out in head-to-toe Gucci. There were FRINGES everywhere.

Shades of purple, green, blue, orange, beige, mocha, caramel, black were the dominant colors of the collection. After Tom Ford's departure at Gucci, Frida managed to regain the TRUE identity of a GUCCI woman. She is doing a phenomenal job. She just keeps getting better every season. BRAVO.
