ANNE HATHAWAY'S PAST TRIUMPHS!!!

After the disastrous red carpet and after party appearances of Anne Hathaway at the Oscars, she should look back at her best dressed moments during award seasons. When she was nominated for best actress for “Rachel Getting Married”, she wore a strapless beaded Armani Prive gown. Her costume changes when she hosted the Oscars with James Franco, she wore Armani Prive, Tom Ford, Atelier Versace, Lanvin, and more. They were expecting more from Anne Hathaway this past Sunday. People will remember her more as an actress than a fashionista. Your whole look is your business card to the world.

BED TIME FOR ANNE!!!

After Anne Hathaway’s femmebot fiasco on the red carpet at the Oscars, you’d think the actress would vamp it up at the Vanity Fair party. Your guesses were wrong. She wore a custom made Saint Laurent column gown in dove gray for the event. She looks like she is ready to go to bed while vacationing in Saint Tropez. I am so bothered with the neckline. The beading doesn’t sit right. This time, she wore sticky tapes to cover her nipples. The cheap looking gold plastic paillettes sequins didn’t add luster to the whole look. Saint Laurent’s designer Hedi Slimane should use Swarovski crystals to give life to the dull color of Anne’s ensemble. This cascading fashion catastrophe of Anne Hathaway will be forever remembered.

THE GLAMOUROUS LADIES OF THE OSCARS!!!

Only a few women did it right at the recent Oscars 2013 when it comes to power dressing. There were so many women on the red carpet that took the plunge, but these 6 women proved to the world the meaning of glamour.  Sandra Bullock wore a black lace gown from Elie Saab. The sheer ensemble gave her the sex appeal.  Sandra’s hair and make-up made her look younger. She accessorized her look with diamond studs, rings, and a barrette to complete the whole look. As for her clutch, the chain should have been tucked in the bag. Overall, she looks great. Best actress nominee Naomi Watts wore customized Armani Prive. The beading of the dress was perfection. The dress was made well. The interesting neckline gave the actress edge. Her hair and make-up complimented her look. Small diamond dangling earrings and a cuff completed the look. George Clooney’s girlfriend, Stacy Kiebler, wasn’t far behind. The statuesque model/actress chose Naeem Khan’s fully beaded dress. Her art deco inspired outfit made her look modern and fierce. The sheer back of the dress added some sexiness. Black diamond earrings and bracelet added drama to her tight fitting dress.  Best actress nominee Jessica Chastain wowed the crowd. She arrived on the red carpet on time wearing a custom made Armani Prive. The heart shape fully beaded dress gave her sophistication and style. The Swarovski crystal beadwork was done on the bias. Her whole look is just perfection. This ensemble was a complete departure from Golden Globes dress.  At 75, Jane Fonda proved to the world that age is just a number. The two-time Academy award winner showed up in a yellow Atelier Versace long sleeves dress. The dress is so sexy and still age appropriate. The interlocking triangles with sunburst beading gave her the waist. I am so glad that she brought color to the Oscars. In a sea of pale colored dresses, Jane Fonda gave some light to the event. Lastly, Charlize Theron graced the red carpet in a white Dior Haute Couture gown. I believe this is how to wear white at the Academy Awards. She looks fresh and young.  What made the gown modern? The V shape cut on the bust line with it sexy. On the other hand, the beaded peplum gave the ensemble femininity. She accented her with diamond studs and bracelets.

These ladies know the meaning of glamour, elegance, sophistication, and style. I know their team did a lot of research to come up with these perfect and stunning looks. Well! All of their hard work paid off.

THE OSCAR FEMMEBOT!!!

Do you remember Mike Myer's movie "Austin Powers"? I love Dr. Evil's minions, the Femmebots. These robots have built in machine guns in their boobs. Anne Hathaway was inspired by the robots. Hours before the red carpet show, Valentino sent a message to E! saying that the actress will be wearing Valentino. At the last minute, she had a change of heart. She walked on the red carpet wearing a blush pink gown from Prada. Not only did she burn bridges with Valentino who made her bridal gown, her nipples got her own twitter account. Definitely, it was KARMA. The darts of the dress made her nipples alive. I don’t know why she chose this dress. She could have worn something better. Doesn’t she know that this dress will be a part of history in the worst ensemble category? This catastrophe will hit her today. The moment she sees the headlines in all the newspapers and websites, she will have so much regrets. She should also check herself in the mirror a thousand times before she heads out of the door. I always believe you should always trust your first choice…the Valentino gown. This incident will haunt her...FOREVER!!!

THE IRONITO BY CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN!!!

As what my mother always told me when I was a young boy, the shoes make the outfit. Well! She is absolutely right. Statement shoes and accessories sum up the entire wardrobe. Thanks to Christian Louboutin, men have the option to dress up their entire ensemble. Since he dipped his fingers in menswear, his loyal followers of men couldn’t stop collecting his designs. For this season, he did a spin on his famous spike rollerballs. The Ironito is the latest addition for Spring 2013. The front and back of the shoes are adorned with uneven spikes. It reminded me of Superman’s lair in the North Pole. If you have $ 2,600 to spend, these shoes can definitely bring excitement to your wardrobe. As a shoe lover, I can’t wait to have these in my shoe closet. Who says you can’t have more?
