BRERA OROLOGI'S GRAN TURISMO COLLECTION!!!

Men around the world will be excited for this great news I am about to share. Italian watchmaker, BRERA Orologi, launches its Gran Turismo Collection. This is the brand’s first innovative design by using Swiss Movement: Ronda 5030D, moving away from its traditional Miyota Quartz.

The new GT Collection features 5 unique designs in 54mm with 48mm bezel, this is the largest men’s watch created by the brand to date. A luxury sport watch, the GT debuts tri-toned metal combinations and honeycomb dials. The 54mm case comes in 3 finishes: stainless steel, rose gold, and grey IP. There are subtle pops of rich color on each bezel offering an exquisite design element. With these elements, the BRERA Orologi Gran Turismo collection is sporty, masculine, and fashion forward.

According to Maurizio Pasi, Co-Founder of BRERA Orologi, “We wanted to create a high quality oversized luxury sport watch using the Swiss Movement to showcase the power, beauty, and exclusive design of the Gran Turismo”.

The GT collection is now available at Neiman Marcus’ website (www.neimanmarcus.com).  If you have $895-950 to spare, order your BRERA Orologi Gran Turismo collection. For collectors out there, this collection will be a great addition to your watch family.

HEIR TO THE THRONE!!!

After the sudden departure of Nicholas Ghesquiere last year from Balenciaga, people were wondering who would be inheriting the throne. Nicholas is brilliant, genius and talented designer. He made Balenciaga modern and edgy. His designs were widely copied by other designers. At the end of the day, revenue is important. Not everyone can pull off a Balenciaga number. People weren’t buying the clothes because it is too risky for them to wear. Most of the people you see wearing Balenciaga during fashion week, clothes were borrowed from the house. The handbag and perfume division were  helping the house earn its revenue.  Through the help and efforts of Vogue's Anna Wintour, she helped another designer’s dream come true. Alexander Wang was the chosen successor to the throne. At 29, Wang has a successful business. He is expanding his label around the world. The whole fashion industry was eager to see his first runway collection. To be honest, he didn’t disappoint the crowd. He went back to the archives of the house. He presented black and white ensemble, which I believe is the smartest choice. Most designers go wild with their first shows, but Wang chose a different route...back to the archives of Balenciaga.  Raf Simons went back to Dior’s bar jacket while Wang did the cocoon shape.  He stripped down all the frills, ruffles, and ornate decorations. He stayed true to the house’s DNA with his own interpretation. The knitted sweaters were hand painted in white. When the models move, it looks like eggshells being cracked. Coats with a huge safety pin-like buckle detail were strong looks... a sure seller in stores. Low heeled knee high boots and strappy sandals complete each look. This is Wang’s first collection for Balenciaga. I am sure he knows what needs to be done…deliver a collection women can wear with a touch of edginess. Nothing to worry, Wang will sail this ship to a different direction...profitability.
