FLASHBACK!!!

I am still healing from my stone fish accident in Malaysia. My doctor said that it will take 2 months for my right leg to go back to its regular form. How tragic? At least, I am alive.

Well! The place is beautiful. The staff in Shangri-la hotel were so accommodating. I felt like a princess... in pain. Yikes!

All I can say, I am very happy. This experience will teach me how to value life. I made tough decisions in life. The best way to feel free and happy is to let go ALL the negative people around me. They add up to your age and anxiety.

I am so sleepy and I have to go to TM's fitting.

Fun! Fun! Fun!

EXTRA!!!

This week was tough for me and my business partner, Pia Miranda. We hosted an event for a famous jewelry designer from Manila. Finally, it is done.

After the show I did for my client TM, she hired me to be her personal stylist. Her style evolved because of our relationship.

Tomorrow, Michael and I will go to her apartment to do fittings. She will be appearing on EXTRA this Monday. She will be promoting her show, which will air on March.

Stay Tuned.

REEDER'S PROPHECY XXV- WHERE IS HE?

Yuck! I sound like a retarded wife looking for his husband. So funny that mystery man is still MIA. Well! I got a call from him 15 minutes ago, he said that he will be in New York soon. I wish!
Promises! Promises! Patience is indeed a virtue. Let's see if he shows up at my event.

I have to tell him that I am getting impatient with the status of our relationship. My Gosh! I feel like I am the other woman in the relationship. His priority... saving mother earth. I wish him all the luck.

I know I have been ranting like a little girl. I just have to accept it. I have to be practical and rational about things in life... things cannot happen like this.

After dismissing all the negative people in my life, I am free. I believe I have to do this with my relationship.

Hmmm! I need a sign.

THE EYE OF THE WORLD

TWIST AND SHOUT!!!

Manila based Burmese designer Wynn Wynn Ong will be showing her debut collection in New York in a matter of days. Pia and I divided the work. She is in-charge of taking care of the preparations for the event and I took the job of handling the press.

We have been working so hard and we know it will pay off. Yuck! Today is raining and I super do not like the weather.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that these people respond asap. Time is running out. I am having stress anxiety already.

SUNDANCE!!!

Yesterday morning, I dropped off some amazing Pologeorgis fur for my client T.M. She and Dabney are going to the Sundance Film Festival.

The moment I showed her the Fur coats, she drooled over them. She grabs the pink right away.
After that, she hugged me so hard and thanked me a gazillion times.

I love FUR. They are the softest things ever made by mankind... no comment on how they are made.

I just want to see the photos soon.

Tonight is the night. Robin Tomas is one of my dear friends. He has been chosen as one of the 6 finalists to compete in the Supima Design Contest. There will be one winner. The winning designs will be displayed in the windows of Bloomingdales.

I do not want to spill the beans, but I have seen Robin's collection grow. I am so amazed by his creativity and craftsmanship.

My dear friend, Katrina Szish of Pink Memo, will be the host for the evening. The fashion show will be held at the New York Times Building at 730pm.

Here are the panel of judges: Teri Agins of The Wall Street Journal, Horacio Silva of the New York Times, Chris Frye of Bloomingdales, and Simon Collins of Parsons School of Design.

DIMINISHING STYLE OF NICOLE KIDMAN!!!

Nicole Kidman used to have so much style. I remember when she did not have too much BOTOX on her face, she was beautiful. She must change her stylist. Before, she always hit the red carpet and land on the best dress list... the Yves Saint Laurent dress by TOM FORD at the Golden Globes in the early 2000.

Last night's awards, the dress by NINA RICCI did not look good on her. The color, fabric, make-up, and hair. As if, she was ready to scare the people or she was going to a slumber party... PJs style.

It's a shame because she has everything: beauty, height, presence, height, and personality.

There is still hope, hire a new stylist. You are paying so much.

BLUSHING ON NEUTRAL- GOLDEN GLOBES

Trendspotting: Dominant colors on the red carpet last night were neutrals and blush. Some stars looked stunning and some stars were just to pale for their color choice.

Here are some of the dresses from last night's event:

CHLOE IN VALENTINO
CHRISTINA IN ATELIER VERSACE
EMILY IN DOLCE AND GABBANA

ELISABETTA C. IN ROBERTO CAVALLI
JENNIFER G. IN VERSACE
DREW B. IN ATELIER VERSACE

MAGGIE IN RM BY ROLAND MOURET

SIMPLY THE BEST- FALL 2010

A couple of designers presented their Pre Fall Collection for 2010. There were some designers that did quite okay and there were a few who made phenomenal clothes... stellar. The silhouette is a mixture of volume and tailoring.

Of course, black and gray are the key colors for Fall. Balenciaga chose to splash a few bright colors to his collection.

Here are my top picks:

BALENCIAGA
CELINE
GIVENCHY
NARCISO RODRIGUEZ

STELLAR AT PRADA!!!

Finally, Prada produces a strong collection. Prints for Fall... amazing. I remember a couple of years ago, she introduced British prints on clothes and accessories for Fall... it was stellar. I like how Prada goes against the grain. She mixes up her classic pieces with different variations of prints like camouflage, blocked prints, and more. They are more separates in this collection... investment pieces.

The silhouette is close to the body. She also combined a bit of volume paired up with slim pants... not tight. The color spectrum comes in camel, beige, black, powder blue, purple, and tons of prints. She layered the garments to achieve the whole look... so chic.

The bags are amazing. I want the whole line next season. She added spark to the dark Fall collection that Milan showcased. Who said you cannot wear print? Well! Miuccia Prada said you can.

The show is gorgeous. Classic loafers that have the tassels on them. She knows her market well.

I just want the bag... and everything.

WOW! I can't wait for PRADA to ship its merchandise in the stores for FALL 2010.

WHAT CAN I SAY?

A couple of hours ago, I had an interview with a famous newspaper in New York. They asked me about my client TM and my personal style. Ray, the news reporter, is such a character. His questions were like from a pageant... that's how I felt. It was very interesting.

It was a good hour interview till my right foot started swelling. The Dries Van Noten shoes I had on did not help. I had to walk slowly to my apartment.

I had to cancel all my meetings. The only person I asked to come to my apartment is Pia Miranda. I told her that I cannot go to the dinner. I have to take care of myself. Yikes! My doctor said that my right leg will heal in a month.

Guess what? I got my a present from mystery man from Balenciaga. Finally, I have a new scarf and blackberry holder from Cristobal.

Ain't that chic?

PS: What can you say my fellow detractors? Jealous? Hahahaha.

REMARKS!!!

For me, I appreciate it when people give nasty comments on my blog. I just enjoy reading them. It gives me pleasure that they are in so much rage. You cannot please everyone.

I know this year will be a good year for me. Detractors are always good because they add so much flavor to my blog.

I appreciate all the positive and negative comments... it's still publicity.

Hahahaha.

REEDER'S PROPHECY XXIV- FOCUS

Mystery man has been concentrating with his non profit organization. I believe he is trying to save the world and make people aware that mother earth is our last hope for survival. After my meeting with my business partner, I got a call from him. He said that he is back in London and will fly to New York in a few weeks.

He said that he can't wait to see the progress of my right leg... and ME TOO. I just want to cry. He is so sweet. I've never been pampered like this before. Am I dreaming? Am I in love? Can this be true? Let's wait and see if he can come out to the public. Hahahahaha.

All I can say is that there will be fireworks when he comes here... even if my right leg is still swelling. Who knows? I can do a Cirque de Soleil act. What should I wear? Marchesa? J. Mendel? Celine? or nothing. Hahahaha.

My business partner, Pia, forwarded me a link. He looks HOT on the cover of this magazine. I won't say the name because I am giving too much clues. After all, he is my mystery man.

PS: I ordered 5 shirts from Liberty of London as a post Holiday present. Besides, he provides me with all of my Dries Van Noten and Balenciaga accessories.

BE ITALIAN!!!

I have been dying to watch the movie, "NINE". Most of my friends were discouraging me to see it because they said the reviews were bad. Well! The movie was spectacular. The movie is based on Fellini's life as a great director from Italy. To date, he made 8 1/2 movies.

Marion, Kate, Fergie, and Penelope were amazing. The choreography made by Rob Marshall is out of this world. Daniel Day Lewis portrayed the infamous director in the film. Dame Judi Dench and Sophia Loren played big roles in the movie.

All of the actors and actresses sang in the movie. Without any musical background, they performed well. The let down of the film is Nicole Kidman. She was not given justice with her role. It seemed like she was just a mere display.

To my surprise, I adore and love Penelope Cruz's acting. She did an amazing cabaret dance with ropes as her props. She is unbelievable.

Kate Hudson redeemed herself with a song and dance like Austin Powers. You have to be a musical lover to enjoy this film.

I was not disappointed with the movie. The editing was also amazing... on point.

Of course, Paola Isabel Tornito was my date tonight. I had to be with someone who loves theatrical movies.

You guys have to see it.

STONED IN MALAYSIA!!!

Last Christmas, I convinced my mother that we should spend Christmas in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. I love the beach. Whenever I look at the ocean, I feel calm... that's the beauty of Asia.

The following day, April and I went straight to the beach after our morning breakfast. We just love to soak our bodies in sea water so we can get an even tan. As soon as I got out of the water, I thought I accidentally hit a rock. I told my sister that my right foot is painful. My foot started bleeding so I rushed to the shower and rinsed it.

After that, I could not move my right leg. My veins started to turn black. My legs became swollen. Never in my life that I will have a baby elephant leg. They rushed me to the hospital. I did not care. I was wearing my Butch swimming trunks. My mother told me to dress up. I told her that this a chic way to enter the hospital. On top of that, I wore my purple Prada like print TOMS shoes.

So funny, I can make fun of this incident... it is no joke.
The doctor told me that I was stung by a stone fish. Thank God that the fish did not emit too much poison or I could have been dead on arrival.

My God! The pain is excruciating. Wow! I felt like Linda Blair in the Exorcist. I was going ballistic.

This is one of the few reasons why I have not been able to blog.
