The continuation of the Bourne series finally arrived in New York City's
Ziegfeld Theater. Matt Damon isn't the star of the new film, but Jeremy Renner
filled in his shoes. The awkward Jeremy Renner was rushing through the red
carpet. It seemed like he doesn't like the attention. He passed through so many
reporters ignoring interviews. He is an actor and he should be used to this
attention by now. Jeremy's negative vibes gave some of the photographers and
reporters the real personality of the actor. On the other hand, his stunning co
star Rachel Weisz strutted on the red carpet wearing a strapless Christian Dior
Haute Couture from Raf Simons debut collection. The black hour glass strapless
ensemble gave the British actress a boost to her style. The hair and make-up was
perfection. She wore Christian Louboutin's bow tie shoes. Seeing her on the red
carpet being interviewed by Alicia Quarles was breathtaking. The actress has so
much charisma and personality. She loves the camera in a very subtle way. She
answered all questions about the movie and her wonderful experience in the
Philippines. She fell in love with the warmth of the country that she donated
money to build a playground in the city. Edward Norton was the last actor to
walk on the red carpet. Like Rachel, he is very charming. He may not be the
sexiest actor alive, but he has a strong sex appeal. The movie started at
740pm. The action scenes and stunts were beyond. Overall, the movie was great.
Guests went to the Four Season restaurant for cocktail hours. It was a fun
evening.

CRAVING FOR FALL!!!
As you
all know, I love statement shoes. I inherited this addiction through my mother.
She loves accessories. She told me that you can tell a person's style with
their shoes. I totally agree with her. I believe the accessories make the
outfit, but you have to select the perfect shoes that suits you. For Fall,
Miuccia Prada delivered a strong collection of accessories. The shoes I am
dying to get my hands on are these lace-up shoes with white floral leather
appliques. It reminds me of the 60s in a very modern way. I can imagine myself
wearing black tight trousers and a blue trench shirt from Yohji. These
magnificent shoes cost $1,395. You will never go wrong with Prada. Her fashion
forward shoes will always be the topic of conversation. My lust for shoes never stops. I guess it is the Imeldific in me.

SKATING AWAY!!!
On August 2, my whole family will be flying to Malaysia to see Alexa
Dominique Pascual compete with the top figure skaters in Asia. My niece wants
to prove to her family that she can excel in sports. When she was in New York,
she has been practicing her moves at Chelsea Piers and Rockefeller Center. I
told her to go back to ballet so she can move with grace. My sisters and I were
not into sports. Alexa always made fun of us. I know she will do well in this
competition. I am so sad that I won't be there to support her. I can't wait
till she hires me to be her stylist. It will be very interesting to work for
her. Hahaha.

DIOR'S NEW LOOK!!!
All eyes were on Raf Simons as he took the stage to present his first
Dior collection. He did not disappoint his audience. He presented an amazing
collection with respect to the house's archives. After his exit at Jil Sander,
traces of his designs from his former employer morphed into the collection of
Dior. For Raf, couture is an expression of idea. It doesn't mean that couture
can't be wearable. He targeted a wide range of audience. He focused on Mr.
Dior's silhouette from the 50s. The bar jacket which made the late designer
famous was modernized for today's women. Most of the short cocktail dresses
were paired with trousers. He showcased both Fall and Spring colors in shades
of black, red, orange, blush, blueand light pink, and white. I believe his
message is that couture should be timeless. He infused his own mark by
experimenting in different dye prints in the form of coats, and ball gowns. He
accessorized most looks with a steel band belt and strass choker necklaces.
This is only the first collection of Raf Simons for Dior. I am sure that his
collection will evolve. I can't wait for October when he presents his
ready-to-wear collection for the house. Raf Simons is an amazing designer.
Alber Elbaz, Marc Jacobs, Donatella Versace, Diane Von Furstenberg, and
Azzedine Alaia were present to cheer for the designer.

VISIONS OF CAMOUFLAGE!!!
I have been looking online with the latest Spring 2013 collection for men.
What caught my attention is Dries Van Noten's rendition of the camouflage. He
made me excited once again and I can't wait to get my hands on his pieces for
next season. In this collection, the use of camouflage is a form of a
chameleon. Not only did he do the print in army green, but he showed it in different
color ways. He deconstructed the print and it seemed like a jigsaw puzzle or a
virus viewed through the microscope. The sandals throughout the show have soles
of the inevitable print. Some of the clothes look like his models came from a
fencing match. To make it more modern, he added velcro straps as closure. He
used delicate fabrics like voile, silk shantung, and nylon that seems to
resemble taffeta. A pair of trousers that looked like an animal print is the
hybrid of camo. He is a true genius. Once you dissect each piece, it can stand
on its on. The foundation of his empire: color, form, texture, and pattern. He
made Paris smile with a collection worth remembering.
