BE ITALIAN!!!

I have been dying to watch the movie, "NINE". Most of my friends were discouraging me to see it because they said the reviews were bad. Well! The movie was spectacular. The movie is based on Fellini's life as a great director from Italy. To date, he made 8 1/2 movies.

Marion, Kate, Fergie, and Penelope were amazing. The choreography made by Rob Marshall is out of this world. Daniel Day Lewis portrayed the infamous director in the film. Dame Judi Dench and Sophia Loren played big roles in the movie.

All of the actors and actresses sang in the movie. Without any musical background, they performed well. The let down of the film is Nicole Kidman. She was not given justice with her role. It seemed like she was just a mere display.

To my surprise, I adore and love Penelope Cruz's acting. She did an amazing cabaret dance with ropes as her props. She is unbelievable.

Kate Hudson redeemed herself with a song and dance like Austin Powers. You have to be a musical lover to enjoy this film.

I was not disappointed with the movie. The editing was also amazing... on point.

Of course, Paola Isabel Tornito was my date tonight. I had to be with someone who loves theatrical movies.

You guys have to see it.

STONED IN MALAYSIA!!!

Last Christmas, I convinced my mother that we should spend Christmas in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. I love the beach. Whenever I look at the ocean, I feel calm... that's the beauty of Asia.

The following day, April and I went straight to the beach after our morning breakfast. We just love to soak our bodies in sea water so we can get an even tan. As soon as I got out of the water, I thought I accidentally hit a rock. I told my sister that my right foot is painful. My foot started bleeding so I rushed to the shower and rinsed it.

After that, I could not move my right leg. My veins started to turn black. My legs became swollen. Never in my life that I will have a baby elephant leg. They rushed me to the hospital. I did not care. I was wearing my Butch swimming trunks. My mother told me to dress up. I told her that this a chic way to enter the hospital. On top of that, I wore my purple Prada like print TOMS shoes.

So funny, I can make fun of this incident... it is no joke.

The doctor told me that I was stung by a stone fish. Thank God that the fish did not emit too much poison or I could have been dead on arrival.

My God! The pain is excruciating. Wow! I felt like Linda Blair in the Exorcist. I was going ballistic.

This is one of the few reasons why I have not been able to blog.

RAJO'S ANCESTRAL HOME!!!

I have been a lazy blogger. I guess I am on holiday. I just have to get my groove back. Last week, Rajo Laurel invited me to his amazing ancestral home in San Juan.  From my previous post, he received an award from the president of the Philippines (Ten Most Outstanding Young Men).

I am very proud of him. When we entered the manor, I felt like Annette Benning in Love Affair. I was looking for my Warren Beatty (Mystery Man is in Copenhagen, Denmark).  I just love my fascination with Hollywood movies.

I've been to big houses in Manila, but I've never seen such beauty.  Indeed, it was a very intimate affair and I am so happy that I am a part of his exclusive family.

He sent me pictures of the house. Amazing.

My love to Rajo. It's glad to be home.

HOMME ET FEMME MANIA

I do not why I am so addicted to Homme et Femme in Manila. Mark Gonzalez has been a friend for the longest time... Pia Miranda is her niece and a good friend of mine. :)

New York has been my shopping mecca for 10 years. Every time I come to his store in Manila, I just die and salivate with all the Dries Van Noten and Balenciaga. Why? He has good taste. He knows his clients very well... he edits.

This trip, I have been to his store 3 times. I can't wait to wear my new Liberty of London shirt. It is the perfect shirt for my upcoming trip to Malaysia.

As a bloody Taurus, I get what I want. Hahahahaha.

RAJO LAUREL

World renowned designer Rajo Laurel is hosting a cocktail party at their ancestral home in Manila. He won an award as one of the Ten Outsanding Young Man for his excellence in the field of fashion... proud of you.

President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo was present to give him this prestigious award. I am very proud of him and he deserves every credit.

Recently, he had his trunk show in New York to showcase his Spring/Summer 2010 collection... it was received well.

I am very proud of you. Go figure.

Besides Yara and Daniella, I consider Anne as one of my closest friends. She is the sweetest person.  I admire her sense of style because she believes that simplicity is the essence of sophistication... my original line. Excuse me.

DATE AT THE PARIS THEATRE!!!

Wednesday was not a good day for me. I have been running around the city doing errands and at the same time returning samples to different showrooms... fashion nightmare.  Anne sent me a text message. I got so excited because I have not seen her in months.  She invited me to be her date to a movie premiere at the Paris Theatre, "The Lovely Bones".  

Of course, Anne wore head-to-toe Calvin Klein and I wore my Tyler sculptural jacket to compliment her look. The photographers went crazy over her.  She is a pro when it comes to posing. Duh! She is a model.

We had good seats.  Seated next to me is Dan A. and Courtney Love. How fun? :)

Susan Sarandon, Stanley Tucci, Mark Wahlberg, and the cast members were present at the premiere. The movie is all about love of family and the disturbing sickness of pedophilia (Stanley Tucci).  I won't give you too much details. You have to watch it. I give it a two thumbs up.

The after party was at the OAK Room at the Plaza Hotel. Anne and I found a new friend, Dan Abrams. We had an interesting conversation... world affairs including fashion. The Oak Room became our domain.

It was a fun evening. Thanks Anne. I love you so much.
