Last night, Yaz Hernandez attended the Whitney Museum Gala sponsored by Akris. She walked down the black carpet wearing Marchesa, Sevan jewelry, and a Celestina clutch. The asymmetrical goddess dress made her look young and fresh. The good thing about this woman, she knows how to carry herself well. In New York society, you need a beautiful face, a good heart, and oozing personality.

FITTING WITH THE TINZ!!!
Today, I am getting ready for my last fitting this week with Tinsley before I leave for Paris tomorrow evening. I have been working like a dog. I know mystery man does not agree, but I have to show him that I am independent. She will be presenting an award for the 20th anniversary of Susan G. Komen at the Intrepid this Thursday, October 28. What I love about this project? I had to gather everything PINK. Well! It is a PINK SOIREE and she loves the color.

PARK AVENUE!!!
Tonight, I had a fitting on Park Avenue. What I like about the Hernandez family? They make you feel at home. I had dinner with Valentin, Yaz, and talented designer Fabiola Arias. Tomorrow evening, she will be wearing a black off the shoulder Marchesa dress, jewelry by Sevan, and a Celestina clutch. I just love her because she has pure energy... very rare in the social industry.

GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI'S TRIUMPH
Besides Christian Louboutin, women around the world are big fans of Giuseppe Zanotti. He designs statement shoes.
His famous collaboration is from the house of Balmain. Now, he has more designers to add up to his growing list. Proenza Schouler, Vionnet, Thakoon, and Christopher Kane are some of the famous designers he works with during fashion week. I am very amazed by his work.

THE PERFECT WEDDING SHOES!!!
Yesterday, I was multi tasking. I have two fittings next week before I leave for Paris. I needed a break. I decided to go to Bergdorf Goodman and buy my sister's wedding shoes. I found these amazing sling backs in gold, silver, and bronze from Jimmy Choo. I believe these shoes will be the perfect fit for my youngest sister's Angel Sanchez wedding gown. Shoes make me happy. I must say that Mystery Man gave me 2 dozen pairs for the past year. I am just saying.

FINAL DECISION!!!
I am so excited that my youngest sister, Nina, will be a bride again on December 19. Finally, she made a decision that she wants to wear Angel Sanchez. I sent her a couple of options for her to choose from, but she was not liking the silhouette. She likes simple and clean lines. It made me happy that she made up her mind. Now, I have to find her shoes and accessories.
I still have time. My deadline is before I leave for Manila... November 25.

BRUNO FRISONI'S TOUCH- ROGER VIVIER!!!
Last night, Bruno Frisoni of Roger Vivier made a personal appearance at Saks Fifth Avenue. He is a very talented designer. Besides designing for Vivier, he has his own shoe line as well. He has the ability to create new things that are exciting and fun for his loyal followers. Ladies were ordering shoes and bags for Spring 2011. The event also featured the retrospective exhibition of the Roger Vivier for Saks Vintage Collection. It does help when the designer is present to explain and help sell the collection. It was a fun party. Too much champagne makes you hungry. It was time to head out for dinner.

TALBOTS TALES!!!
Last week, my good friend Denise Caldwell invited me to a shopping event at Talbots' flagship store on Madison Avenue in New York. It was raining that day, but I made a promise to her that I'd come to support. I was surprised with the amazing merchandise the brand has to offer. Celebrity stylist and TV personality Mary Alice Stephenson hosted the event. She is one of the nicest people I know in the industry. It was worth the trip.

WHAT I AM LOVING RIGHT NOW?
Besides spending a fun afternoon with my good friend Claudia, I cannot put down this book I am reading called RECESSIONISTAS. I had the honor to meet the author, Alexandra Lebenthal, through my client Yaz Hernandez during Fashion's Night Out. She had a book signing at the Judith Leiber boutique on Madison Avenue. I started reading the book last Friday when I was not feeling good. I am not fond of reading books, but this is a page turner. I suggest you get a copy at Barnes and Noble. It's worth your money and time.

EXTRAVAGANT BOOK LAUNCHING AT THE PLAZA!!!
Wedding Style Magazine editor-in-chief Grace Ormonde had a lavish book launch party last night at the Plaza. The event was festive. Beautiful flower arrangements, table settings, amazing food, and over flowing drinks were seen at last night's magical event. I thought of mystery man. He would enjoy the ambiance of the place. I felt like I was in wonderland.

MADISON AVENUE EXTRAVAGANZA!!!
Socialite, philanthropist, and reality star Tinsley Mortimer hosted a party this past Wednesday at the Samantha Thavasa boutique on Madison Avenue. Tinsley teamed up with the American Humane Association to adopt a dog for a whole month program. All proceeds went to the charity. The event was successful. All of her close friends came to support her. I am very proud of my client. She has the heart of PLATINUM.

MY LANVIN FROM MYSTERY MAN!!!
THE BEAUTIFUL LADIES OF CASITA MARIAS
Ladies paraded in their amazing gowns for Casita Maria's 2010 Gala at the Mandarin Oriental. Yaz Hernandez wore a jewel tone gown by Angel Sanchez. Her jewels are from Sevan and Verdura. The amazing blue lizard clutch is from Kara Ross. Fe Fendi and Maria Arria chose acid green and orange to liven up the event. Zani Gugelman wore a fantastic scarlett red gown with cut outs.
These women know how to dress the part for a festive event.

DREAMING OF NINA IN ANGEL SANCHEZ!!!
Last week, I received exciting news from my youngest sister that she got engaged. I was very happy for her. The first marriage did not work, but it was learning experience. Besides, she is only 30 with no children. Today, I got a phone call from my mother that Nina will get married this coming December 19. I thought it was a joke. I am thrilled for her, but I was in shock. My sister is a Virgo like mystery man. They can make a decision like the speed of light. I promised her that I will give her a wedding gown as my gift. Tomorrow, I have to go to Angel Sanchez and find a chic gown. Anyway, she is not a princess bride. I dedicate this entry to my dear sister Nina. I love you. I am a proud brother.

THE 8 FASHION LEADERS OF PARIS
Paris is known for having the best designers in the world. For Spring 2011, these top 8 designers presented an astounding collection. Black was the dominant color for Spring in Paris. Why? These designers wanted to make a statement. Thank God for Lanvin and Dries Van Noten, I have seen colors on the runway. Celine stayed true to the fashion house's mantra: clean lines. Rick Owens, Haider Ackermann, and Ann Demeulemeester showcased stunning pieces for their loyal followers. Karl Lagerfeld's rekindled friendship with Ines de la Fressange added some value to his spectacular Chanel fashion show. Sarah Burton's homage to the house of McQueen did not disappoint her audience.
J'ADORE!!!
