Alexander McQueen's spirit and legacy is continued by his successor, Sarah Burton. She worked with McQueen for 15 years. She learned the techniques and execution of her mentor's vision. It is tough to follow his footsteps. For Spring 2011, she proved herself that she can continue Lee's work and bring it to the future. The house is known for sharp tailoring and theatrical clothes. She added a touch of feminism to the collection. All of the signature trademarks were there, but a woman's point of view made the clothes softer.
Wherever he maybe, I know he is happy with the outcome of the collection. A strong force which made Sarah Burton to keep on charging. The unending saga continues for the house of McQueen.
