ANOTHER YEAR IN YAZ'S EXISTENCE!!!

Last night, Yaz Hernandez threw an intimate birthday party celebration at her posh Park Avenue apartment. It was a gathering of her intimate friends and family. Her youthful energy and personality gave Yaz the eternal youth she possess. She is one of the most influential people in New York. She knows how to turn an ailing charity into a stellar success. It is in her nature that she is passionate about the things she do. She puts her whole heart into something she believes in. At the last minute, Yaz's mother made a surprise appearance late in the evening. She came straight from Puerto Rico to participate in her daughter's celebration. The party was so fun because everyone was in their true form. Up to now, no one knows her true age. Let's just say that Yaz will always be stuck in the age of 35. It is not her fault that she found the fountain of youth. Happy Birthday Yaz. I love you.

KIRSTEN DUNST HITS THE HOME RUN IN CANNES!!!

During the MET Gala, Kirsten Dunst didn't look confident with her custom made ensemble from Rodarte. The orange and white double breasted suit gown wasn't her best look. She was in a rush to get inside the museum. For me, she looked like the dated version of Louise Lane. The hair saved her, but the whole look was a disaster. At the recent Cannes Film Festival, she redeemed herself. She chose a magenta gown from Christian Dior. She accessorized the whole look with a black belt. Her hair and make-up gave the final touch. This is the Kirsten Dunst I know... chic, sophisticated, and stylish. When she goes for the fashion forward look, it seems to be a mess. Why not stick to the formula of just making her look beautiful? Simplicity is the essence of sophistication. It is not in her personality to try different things when it comes to fashion. She looked amazing and stunning. I believe she made the perfect choice.

VERSACE'S MUSES AT THE CANNES FILM FESTIVAL!!!

Donatella Versace's ladies graced on the red carpet at the recent Cannes Film Festival. Her muses wore Atelier Versace. Jada Pinkett wore a bright orange gown with gold metal details. Her high slit added more sexiness to the actress. In Donatella's world, Frida Pinto's dress is considered conservative. The bright yellow round neck gown has a double wave detail on her left hip. The high slit of the ensemble gave her the appeal of a Versace woman. Jane Fonda looked so chic and stunning in a copper pink gown. For her age, she has an amazing body. Lastly, Mila Jovovich showed to the entire world the true meaning of SEX. The seductive actress wore an electric lime green gown from the designer. It showed every asset of Mila, but it was cleverly done. Once again, it is a home run for Donatella's fashion house. With the help of Lucio di Rosa, the Versace vision to conquer Cannes was accomplished.

YAZ THE GREAT!!!

This past Thursday, Yaz Hernandez received a prestigious award from the El Museo del Barrio. She has been an advocate of the museum for a long. She believes when you put your heart and soul to something you stand for, you can make a change.  Since she became a part of the board, she has been promoting the museum and sharing to her colleagues about its rich heritage. Every since she was little girl, she's been a dreamer. She believes that to dream is free. Her dreams became a reality and it proved that night that she accomplished a lot. She loves to help people and lead them to the right path. Yaz is a doer. She strongly believes that actions speak louder than words. It was a great honor for her by accepting the award from Carolina Herrera. Both ladies exude class, style, elegance, and sophistication. Yaz wore a strapless gown from Carolina Herrera. She accented her look with a Mondrian belt from the designer. Statement jewelry is attached to the Yaz Hernandez label. She wore earrings from Kimberly McDonald. Her bracelet is from Deborah Pagani. Rings were from H.Stern and Deborah Pagani. Her black satin clutch with a Mondrian detail is from Kara Ross. She's been a great inspiration to the Latin community and to the rest of the world. You make me proud of being a part of your life and family. I know I will be expecting good things from you. You know how to turn things in the right way. Congratulations.

SNOW AT THE MET GALA!!!

It wasn't snowing at the MET Gala. I was referring to one of my favorite characters in "Once Upon A Time". Ginnifer Goodwin plays Snow White. Every time she attends the MET GALA, she looks perfect from head-to-toe. Last year, she wore an emerald green dress from Top Shop Unique with Van Cleef and Arpels necklace. For 2012, she wore an orange round neck gown from Monique Lhuiler.  The neckline had sheer cut outs adorned with orange beadwork. Her hair reminded me of Mia Farrow's look. She accessorized her ensemble with diamond studs. Her silver satin platform pumps are from Brian Atwood. She knows how to strut on the red carpet. For those of you who haven't seen her show, you better watch it on TV. I am so addicted to it. I can say that SNOW's presence wowed the crowd.
Her show can be seen on ABC every Sunday at 8pm.

At the recent Costume Institute MET Gala, there were a few women who played the part. Who says black is boring for red carpet? These ladies proved to the world that black can be exciting and stunning. Cate Blanchett wore an amazing Alexander McQueen dress. Aside from her edgy look, the ensemble added glare to her persona. The feathers vamped up her look. She made me want to love black even more. The Givenchy ladies came into the picture: Rooney Mara and Gisele Bundchen. Both ladies wore Givenchy Haute Couture.  Gisele donned a high slit number. The supermodel can just wear anything. She gave justice to the color black and made it look sexy. On the other hand, actress Rooney Mara went with the polished Gothic look. She didn't wear any jewelry. The hair and make-up completed the whole look. Renee Zellweger gave me goose bumps when I saw her in a custom made Emilio Pucci gown. Her look epitomizes true Hollywood glamour. The panel details added wow factor to her look. Dr. Lisa Airan's Tom Ford gown was a knockout. She made New Yorkers proud by wearing this outfit. Her long sleeve lace gown added chicness to the event. Her one-of-a-kind earrings from JAR completed the look. These women know how to rock it.

At the recent Costume Institute MET Gala, most women shined on the red carpet. These 3 women gave justice to the meaning of sparkle. Supermodel Anne V. wore a customized fringed Prada dress in dove gray. The fringe details added glamour to her ensemble. On the hand, Karolina Kurkova was also in the race. She wore a long sleeve gown by Rachel Zoe collection. What I love about this outfit? She chose to wear a turban... simply amazing. As always, Camilla Belle looked stunning in Ralph Collection. Whoever her stylist is? They work well together. She went with the clean and polished look. The hair and make-up added so much value to the whole look. These ladies showed to the entire fashion industry the right way to wear sparkles.

At last night's MET Gala, Miuccia Prada is the chair for the event. She teamed up with Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of Vogue, to host a spectacular event called "Impossible Conversations". Miuccia Prada is the incarnated Elsa Schiaparelli of the modern era. The MET Gala is considered as the Oscars of the east coast. Supermodel Anne V graced the red carpet in a custom Prada creation. The icy gray deep   v-neck fringe ensemble gave Anne the strong fashion statement for the evening. She accessorized her look with a satin gray clutch and silver shoes. She wore diamond stud earrings to complete the outfit. As one of my closest friends, I am very proud of all of her achievements. Anne strikes back on the red carpet with an outfit to remember. THE PHOENIX RISES!!!

Tinsley Mortimer strutted on the red carpet at Louisville, Kentucky. She attended the Barnstable-Brown Derby kick-off gala for the Kentucky Derby. She wore a fiery red strapless dress from Farah Angasana. Her amazing ensemble have rose appliques giving her the ultimate feminine look. She accessorized her outfit with lilac Miriam Salat earrings. In my opinion, her dress is appropriate for the state of Kentucky. I am glad she knows how to follow protocol dressing. With her book out, the phoenix rises once again.
