The fall season just came, but I can’t wait for next spring. Why? Designers from New York,
Paris, Milan, and London showcased amazing clothes and accessories for next
season. Not everyone can afford the ready-to-wear, but you can always have the
shoes and bags. For this season, most designers took a break from the PLATFORM
phenomenon. Valentino’s shoes have an interesting detail. The Plexiglas heel
caught my attention. I know the shoes are in black, but the heels will be the
topic of conversation. Celine did a collection of quirky shoes for spring.
Phoebe covered them with fur. I thought it was funny to see yellow mink shoes
on her collection that resemble Big Bird’s infamous color. Dries Van Noten
used the collegiate print known as plaid. This print was dominant throughout
the collection. He knew that women would kill to have a pair of his shoes for
next season.
Chloe
also joined the bandwagon. The fashion brand chose copper/gold shoes with
stacked heels. It is simple, but very
striking. Raf Simons triumphant debut at Dior was a success. He did not fail to
impress his spectators. The sexy stiletto he showed on the runway will be up
for grabs next season. The combination of gold/gray snakeskin with lilac bar
detailing made the shoes look so modern. Looking at all of the accessories he
did for Dior, I am pretty sure this will be the shoe for next season. Marc
Jacob’s Louis Vuitton knows how to wow his audience. Seeing tons of black and
white on the runway made his show soothing to the eyes. His inspiration from the
60s never stopped. He used the house’s signature Damier and interpreted it
throughout the collection. His low-heeled, bi colored shoes will accommodate to
women who can’t wear high heels.
Lastly,
Giambattista Valli’s silver mercury and red combination will give his women the
modern minimalism they want. It is so simple, but the colors add an edge to it.
I am glad these designers decided not to
use the platform this season. The non-platform movement gives women more power and understated sexiness.
