CHANEL'S TRIUMPH- LAGERFELD STYLE

Karl Lagerfeld presented a strong, fresh, and young collection for Chanel. He is a true master. For me, this collection was the BEST during fashion week. I am speechless for WORDS.

THE CHANEL WAR IS OVER!!!

Ines de la Fressange is one of the chicest women in Paris. She was the face of Chanel in the 80s. Karl Lagerfeld and the famed supermodel had a falling out back in 1989. For Chanel's Spring 2011, Ines graced the runway. The war is over between her and Karl. Now, their friendship will be stronger.

Who says Karl cannot forgive his enemies? He is just human. A brighter future for the house of Chanel.

THE SAGA CONTINUES AT MCQUEEN!!!

Alexander McQueen's spirit and legacy is continued by his successor, Sarah Burton. She worked with McQueen for 15 years. She learned the techniques and execution of her mentor's vision. It is tough to follow his footsteps. For Spring 2011, she proved herself that she can continue Lee's work and bring it to the future. The house is known for sharp tailoring and theatrical clothes. She added a touch of feminism to the collection. All of the signature trademarks were there, but a woman's point of view made the clothes softer.

Wherever he maybe, I know he is happy with the outcome of the collection. A strong force which made Sarah Burton to keep on charging. The unending saga continues for the house of McQueen.

RIVE GAUCHE!!!

Stefano Pilati of Yves Saint Laurent was true to his form. He delivered a strong collection paying homage to the house's archives. This time, he nailed it. Series of clothes paraded on the runway honoring the true master in fashion... Mr. Saint Laurent. All of YSL's loyal followers cannot wait to get their hands on these magnificent pieces.

I always love seeing YSL's le smoking jacket revisited over and over again. Shades of sunburst orange, blue, beige, white, and black were the dominant colors he used. Everything worked from start to finish.

Amazing Stefano... very RIVE GAUCHE.

THE CLEAN LINES OF CELINE!!!

Phoebe Philo's successful Spring 2011 collection for Celine made her admirers yearn for more.
She knows the vision of the house and continues to evolve the brand to the future. Indeed, she is a very gifted designer. The clothes are about ease and comfort in a very classy way. The Celine woman does not need attention because she already has everything:beauty, intelligence, class, and personality. There is no need for her to flaunt her assets. She is the "IT" girl.

Simplicity is the essence of sophistication. Bravo Phoebe!!!

FLIRTATIOUS WOMEN AT LANVIN!!!

Alber Elbaz's strong, fluid, and colorful collection for Lanvin made me smile with delight. I am speechless with his clothes. The man knows how to design for women in any age, size, and ethnicity.
The Lanvin girl knows how to catch her prey by flirting, seducing, and capturing a man's attention without being VULGAR... it worked for me.
He captured the market of making women love and lust for his clothes. My favorite dress in the collection is the asymmetrical coral and red maxi dress. Fortuny-like pleats were the dominant detail in the whole series. He is master. One of the BEST collection I have seen during Spring 2011.

MASKED!!!

Leave it to Paris Vogue editrix Carine Roitfeld, she knows how to throw a party. For Paris Vogue's 90th anniversary, she decided to throw a mask ball. Well wishers paraded in their festive mask and barely there dresses. Besides the MET gala, this is one of the best parties of the year. No wonder Carine is one of the most powerful editors in the world... she can celebrate in style.
Bravo!!!
